CP's Most Popular Questions: Answered!

Hey everyone.

Since I started playing Club Penguin back in 2010, I have heard many CP questions be asked, and tons of rumors be confirmed or debunked. So today, I'm going to make a post about CP myths and rumors, and using my knowledge and information from CP's Wiki, I will be saying if they are true or false, showing evidence.

1. Since CP released it's first pin, the Shamrock, back in 2006, the pins have gradually been getting bigger and therefore becoming noticeably easier to find.

This question, commonly asked on Twitter after CP updates / releases a new pin, has been on the minds of many players. Personally I agree that the pins are getting bigger. I remember logging on CP for the first time and finding my first pin. Although back in 2010 the pins were slightly bigger than back in 2006, they were still extremely small compared to now, in 2015.

Evidence: Right now, the pin on CP is the DJ K-Dance pin. This pin is approximately 2.2 CM tall, whereas the first pin, the Shamrock was only 4 MM tall! This means on average, over 8 years, CP's pins have increased in height by about 1.8 CM. This is shocking considering many players are currently asking for smaller pins!

Results: CONFIRMED!

2. Standing still in the Dojo for 30 minutes or longer will result in your penguin becoming a ninja, without beating the Sensei at Card Jitsu.

This rumor isn't mentioned much these days as most people know the evidence against it, however back in CP's early years many people believed it, and tried it with no success, so I thought it would be nice to mention anyway.

Evidence: After being idle for 10 minutes or longer CP logs you off the server, therefore making it impossible to stay idle for over 30 minutes.

Results: BUSTED!

3: You can become an employee for the CP Pet Shop by completing 20 levels of Puffle Roundup without letting any Puffles escape.

I highly doubt this, as Puffle Roundup is one of CP's oldest games and as far as I know, no one has became a Pet Shop employee from playing it.

Results: Possible, but highly unlikely.

4. There was once an incredibly serious glitch on Club Penguin that caused someone to have a seizure.

Yes, I can confirm this from research, however this glitch was quickly fixed once CP found out and penguins caught trying it could get banned.

The glitch is commonly known as the "Flashing Words Glitch" or the "Green Commander". It happened when a penguin said "Green Commander of .........." and then walked around. The words would flash, and yes, this did cause seizures in a few players. In at least one instance, CP was sued by parents after their child unfortunately suffered an epileptic seizure after viewing this glitch. Not much  about this lawsuit is actually known.

Results: CONFIRMED!

That's it for today. Thanks for reading. If you have any additional information about these myths it would be great if you could tell me in the comments or on Twitter.

Thanks.

Waddle on,
-Geepeach.
